What Zalgo Light text is
Zalgo Light looks like letters with a few marks above and below, a lighter glitch look. The letters stay plain; a combining mark from the Combining Diacritical Marks block is added after each one, and the app draws it over or under the letter. It covers every letter, because the letters themselves are not replaced. Digits stay as typed. Because the marks are separate characters, the underlying letters stay searchable and readable to a screen reader, and an app that strips the marks leaves the plain word behind.

Where Zalgo Light works
People paste Zalgo Light into captions, comments and messages for emphasis. Fields that keep it: bios and captions on most apps, chat messages, and documents. Fields that strip it: usernames and display names, which usually reject combining marks, and search boxes, which ignore them. Screen readers announce each mark or skip the word, so keep it away from anything a reader needs.
How to use Zalgo Light
Type your text in the box; Zalgo Light updates as you type, and the related styles at the foot of the page show the same text for comparison. Press Copy on the Zalgo Light card, then paste into the app with a long press on a phone or Ctrl or Cmd and V on a desktop. If the app shows empty boxes, the device has no font for these characters; if the text reverts to plain letters on save, the field filters them, and a different style or an image from the font generator is the way round it.
