How to write Lily in cursive

Start with the capital L: a tall loop that rises to the top and falls into a rounded foot along the baseline. Its tail runs straight into the i, so the pen stays down. The i is a short upstroke to the midline and a downstroke back to the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the l. The l is a tall loop that returns to the baseline; it runs from the baseline straight into the y. The y is an upstroke to the midline, a trough, then a downstroke that loops below the baseline, and its exit stroke finishes the word.

When the word is finished, go back and dot the i. A common slip in Lily is leaving the lower loop of y open, which turns it into a tall v with a tail.

Where Lily in cursive is used

A name in cursive goes on place cards, nursery art, a monogrammed gift, a cake topper or the signature line of a card. The PNG and SVG above are for those: the PNG drops into a card layout, the SVG scales for a cutting machine or a printer. The signature-style render suits an email footer or a card, and the tracing PDF is for a child learning to write Lily. The text styles are for a bio, a caption or a message, where an image cannot go.

About this signature

This is a picture of your name in a script style: a design reference and visual asset, not a legal signature. It does not verify identity and is not an electronic signature under any e-signature law.
