Writing, not type
A font repeats the same shape for every occurrence of a letter, which is exactly what handwriting never does. This generator passes your text through a handwriting simulator after the font lays it out: each glyph gets a small random shear, the baseline drifts along a slow wave, downstrokes thicken slightly while upstrokes thin, and where the font offers alternate letterforms, repeated letters are varied so "ll" and "tt" never match. The default here is the Handwritten letter preset at intensity 0.3, which reads as a careful hand.
Long text and line breaks
Paste a paragraph or a letter; line breaks are kept and each line gets its own baseline wave, so joined words never split. Sizes down to 24 px keep a whole page of text on screen. The preview is a true vector, so the SVG export contains the varied shapes, not a picture of them.
Paper texture
Choose bond, laid or recycled paper and the PNG and JPG exports multiply in a paper grain and soften the ink edge slightly. SVG and PDF ignore this step and say so, because vectors have no pixels to texture. If you want the texture in print, export a 300 DPI PNG at the final size.
Same seed, same result
Every render is driven by a seed shown in the controls. Regenerate picks a new seed; Variation keeps the seed and shifts a secondary value. The link in the address bar carries text, font, seed and intensity, so a shared link reproduces the exact result on another device as long as the font catalogue version has not changed.
When to use a plain font instead
If the text will be cut, engraved or embroidered, use the font generator without simulation: machines prefer the clean, repeated outlines, and the variation that flatters a printed card only adds nodes to a cut path. Simulation earns its place on anything meant to look written by a person, which is the case for cards, envelopes, mock-ups and social images.
